40K - The Maelstrom: Lair of the Tyrant – Into the Nightmare Realm

Welcome to the Maelstrom – an expanse of swirling energy and detritus, where realspace overlaps with the twisted insanity of the Warp. It is a lair of outlaws and pirates, embittered exiles, and the dregs of the galaxy – Human, xenos, and worse besides. There is mutation and empyric corruption here, but also opportunities to seize priceless treasures. The Maelstrom is the haunt of Huron Blackheart, ruler of the Red Corsairs warband of Renegade Space Marines, and proclaimed by some as the Master of the Maelstrom.

This piratical expansion for Warhammer 40,000 gives everyone new ways to play games in the 41st Millennium, from narrative-focused campaigns to creating your own characters. The books explore the Maelstrom and the ruthless warlords who call it home, as well as introducing the Crucible of Champions, a system for building your own heroes, plus a campaign to play through. No matter how you like to play Warhammer 40,000, there's something in here for you.
